Bobby Orr’s legacy with the Boston Bruins was built on his two Stanley Cup titles with the team, his first title coming in the 1969-70 season where he would lead the Bruins to their first Stanley Cup Championship since 1941. Orr would win his first of three consecutive Hart trophies this season (regular season MVP) and would also win the Conn Smythe Trophy (playoff MVP). The 69-70 season would see Orr become the only defenseman in history to win the Art Ross Trophy as the league’s leading scorer. The 1970 Stanley Cup Finals also included one of the most famous goals in hockey history, Orr’s “Diving Goal”, coming at the 40-second mark in overtime of Game 4 to help the Bruins sweep the St. Louis Blues; the photo of Orr in the air after scoring the goal is still today one of the most iconic in sports. Orr would lead the Bruins to a Stanley Cup Championship two years later winning another Hart Trophy and Conn Smythe Trophy, leading the playoffs in points with 24.
This replica NHL Stanley Cup is autographed by Bobby Orr. Orr’s signature was witnessed by an Upper Deck representative as part of UDA’s 5-step authentication process.
